In our holy books there are several descriptions which cannot be mere imaginations.They are so near to present day scientific truths that one can say easily that these are not imaginations of iron or copper aged persons.These descriptions directly or symbolically indicate that comment maker was very much aware of the scientific facts which today's science is proving day by day.See below some examples...........
In chapter 11 of "SRIMAD BHAAGWAT" Maittreye ji answering a question of Vidur ji said (now read very carefully)---"Vidur ji!! Prithvi Adi Karaya verg Ka jo sukshmtam ansh hai-jiska aur vibhaag nahi ho sakta,tatha jo karm roop ko prapta nahi hua hai,jiska anaye parmanu ke sath sanyog bhi nahi hua hai usse "parmanu"kehte hain..............Do parmanu mil kar ek"anu" hota hai aur teen anuoo ke mil ne se ek "trishrenu"hota hai.Aise teen trishrenuo ko paar kar ne main SURYA ko jitna samay lagta hai usse "truti" khete hain.Is se sau gunna kal vedh khelata hai...............Yeh "yam" khelata hai jo manushye ke din ya raat ka chautha bhaag hota hai.
Its translation in english will be "the smallest and basic part of the earth which cannot be further divided and which is neither active nor joined with another atom is called atom.....................Two atoms forms a molecule and three such molecule form a trishrenu.The time taken by light to cross such trishrenu is called a truti.Vedh is 100 times of truti.................this is called yam which is one fourth of day or night of humans.

About 5-6 thousand years back when our holy VED and BHAAGWATA were written authors were well aware of that the time is not abstract.As Matreyei ji said ..
1.Day or night of "humans" means he knew that time was different for living being of different planets and there were human like life existed on other planets.
2.He knew about five thousand years back that smallest part of matter was atom(parmanu).
3.He knew that atom cannot be divided without losing its representative qualities.
4.He knew that atoms react with each other to form a molecule.
5.He knew that molecules reacts with each other and they can form a bigger molecule(trisharenu).
6.He knew that the velocity of light was very fast.
7.He knew that the velocity of light is abstract(it remains the same in different frame work of space time of universe) irrespective of the velocity of observer{Einstine said the same in his theory of relativity}.so that to define unit of time 'truti' Maitreiji used the velocity of light as a scale.
With the above inferences this is very clear that the creators of VED and other sacred books were very much aware of the abstractness of velocity of light,about atoms and molecules.Matreyei ji was indicating towards a universal unit of time, as we are using GMT instead of IST when we travel abroad.So they were used to travel in the space , to other solar system or to other galaxies.
(Now please let me know whether above notion of Maitrieyei ji was a mere imagination??)...
